Yeesh...I really don't like falling behind posting things, especially boxing news and results. This post formally concludes HD's inaugural boxing preview for the summer of 2008...

[G] = Gold Medal Match. Result of scoring, the occurance of a (T)KO in bold. Loser wins the silver medal.
[B] = Bronze Medalists. The two opponents in the semifinals who lost to the fighters that made it to the finals are awarded bronze medals. They are listed in relation to the ones they lost to.

--So...for all of the talk of Cuba getting "free passes" throughout the tournament, none managed to get a gold medal. On another note, only three fighters from Western countries won gold, with nearly all of the other such finalists winning silver... --Calderon won on points after the fight was stopped due to a bad cut on his forehead, the result of an accidental headbutt.
