:boxing: Boxing Bits ::11.17.08:: Taylor, Cintron, Bika Reach Towards the Top Once More

A number of former champions, contenders (in both senses), and current prospects met and either continued their way (back) to the top, or slunk their way down further...

:Thurs.11.13.08:
Sakio Bika TKO3 Peter Manfredo, Jr. (Super Middleweight)
--Bika continues to gain more recognition since his credible stand against Joe Calzaghe, while Manfredo sinks further since then (if not since The Contender, despite a few wins in between)

Grady Brewer SD(10) Cornelius Bundrage (Light Middleweight)

Jaidon Codrington TKO8 William Gill (Super Middleweight)
--In the final round...

:Sat.11.15.08:
Jermain Taylor UD Jeff Lacy (Super Middleweight) [HBO]
--Taylor vyes to come back to championship form, Lacy continues to disappoint despite claiming some rounds...

Kermit Cintron UD Lovemore N'dou (Welterweight)
--Can Cintron become champion again and finally defeat constant momentum killer and conqueror Antonio Margarito once and for all? He'll need a better gameplan, defense, and stamina if he wants to (and some better luck).

David Haye TKO5 Monte Barrett (Heavyweight)
--I suppose the "price" hasn't been quite right for former contender (and one-time The Price is Right contestant) Barrett, in another knockout loss...

Chazz Witherspoon TKO8 Adam Richards (Heavyweight)
--Another last-round-KO in the eighth for another prospect...

Not Previously Mentioned
:Sat.11.15.08: Allen Green TKO7 Carl Daniels (Light Heavyweight)
--Hard to believe I actually missed listing this one...
:Sat.11.15.08: Alexander Dimitrenko KO3 Luon Krasniqi (Heavyweight)
:Sat.11.15.08: Michael Grant UD Paul Marinaccio (Heavyweight)
--Grant still trying to come back after numerous meltdowns in the ring in his hot younger days...
:Sat.11.15.08: Deontay Wilder TKO2 Ethan Cox (Heavyweight)
--The lone Beijing Olympic medalist from the U.S. team (bronze) notches his first professional win.
