:anime: Free Anime Directory Update! ::For 02.10.09::

A few minor updates and a few major ones highlight this round of Directory updates, including the disappearence of one service and the emergence of a new one...

[New!]
-:Sites:-
Bandai Entertainment Japanese Anime Channel
--Just when I was thinking that Bandai Ent. wasn't putting much of an effort into showing their shows online anymore (, hear comes them placing entire episodes onto their YouTube channel, now dubbed as listed in the heading. Their premiere offering is Code Geass, no less, which is certainly a good way to kick off the revamp, with Gundam 00 following afterwards. Having dual language playlists is a big plus for all involved, but there is a bit of "false advertising" at work, as the videos are labelled as "uncensored", but a particular scene in one of the episodes definitely is (understandably, but still...). Regardless, it's great news (not to mention, the quality is superb, even by YT's standards) and a Joost partnership is also in the works.

-:Anime Shows on Parade:-
Afro Samurai: Resurrection
--I really enjoyed the first series, but it's sequel was very disappointing as it tried to be more than what it really was. It didn't help matters that it was disjointed and poorly handled and written (in both plot and dialouge), among a slew of other issues. Still, SPIKE has it available on their site, but instead of showcasing it as a film (which they initially did), they are offering it in episodic chunks, which ironically is one of the things that would have made it better (if made that way from the start).

[Update!]
-:Sites:-
Anime Network Online
--Updated the link, which has changed along with the rest of Anime Network's layout. The site may not pop up due to some kinks on their end, which may get it moved to the "Off Sites" section should it keep up.

-:Anime Shows on Parade:-
Yawara!
--Updated the link and parts of the description that was woefully outdated.

[Off Sites]
-:Sites:-
ADV BitTorrent
--Currently down, unsure when it ever will be considering ADV's current state.

ADV Films - Video Downloads
--Though titles are given, there are no listings displayed concerning any sort of video downloads. Coupled with the above page, I surmise that they don't have a download service at all right now. It has been a tough time for them, after all...

[NIXED!]
-:Sites:-
Toonami Jetstream
--While I never really went onto the site, it was a shame hear it, another vestige of the now-defunct Toonami, suddenly go. At the very least, Viz Media has other venues to utilize.
